Sunday Adult Formation:
Living as a ‘Called Out’ People

The Greek word “ekklēsia” in the New Testament, usually translated as “church,” literally means “called out.” It refers to Jesus-people as ones who are called to live in a way that is not just “business as usual” by society’s normal standards. They’re called to make a difference! During Sunday Adult Formation in the Epiphany Season, 9:30-10:15 in the library and on Zoom, we’ll explore various aspects of that ‘difference.’ Contact the church office if you need the Zoom link.

This Sunday: “Start with Soccer, and then ….”
Greg & Lisa Herring share the story of St. Thomas's involvement in the Boxwood Soccer Club, and where that has led, e.g., Path to Shine (mentoring and tutoring), FANN (food security), ESL (English as a Second Language) for our Hispanic families, and our goal for the future of acquiring a house in the neighborhood for a community center.

Jan 15: “CVEM – 40 years of making a difference” - Malinda Shamburger

Jan 22: “The Concert Hall as Church” - Paul Hostetter

Jan 29, Feb 12 and 19: “Problems of Purity Culture” - Joanna & Evan Collins
