January 4 Meeting Recap

Thank you to everyone that joined us for our January 4 Monthly Membership Meeting! We are excited to announce our new board members that were elected by the membership:
  • President - Austin Davis Ruiz
  • Trustee, Position 1 - Porscha Brown
  • Trustee, Position 2 (Unexpired Term) - Jack Valinski
  • Trustee, Position 3 - Odyssey Oakengrove
  • Trustee, Position 5 - Piper Madland
  • Trustee, Position 7 - Maria Gonzalez
It was announced that at the December Board Meeting, the Board unanimously approved a Lifetime Membership for Katharine Ligon in honor of her service as President in 2020. At the membership meeting, the membership approved a Lifetime Membership for Jovon Alfon B. Tyler in honor of his service as President.

Seeking Administrative Coordinator

The Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus is seeking an independent contract Administrative Coordinator to provide operational support so as to ensure business continuity and legal compliance through key leadership transitions. Join LGBTQ+ Victory Institute & Equality Texas for the 2023 Texas Candidate & Campaign Training February 9-12. Candidate & Campaign Trainings provide comprehensive, non-partisan best practices to present and future LGBTQ candidates, campaign staff, and community leaders. Trainees learn the necessary skills and strategies by engaging in tough, realistic campaign simulations and working with peers to develop a plan to run for office and win.
