Our Volunteers are at it again

Our volunteers had another productive morning at the club today. We were pleased to welcome our fourth Kopar building to the main parking lot this morning. We must send out a HUGE thanks to all our members for your patience with any inconvenience this delivery caused (main parking lot closed as a result of the super cool crane truck) and our volunteers for their assistance in the delivery and placement of the building.

This new Kopar building will be used regularly this season for all upcoming races then moved out on the trail network in the future to act as a family warm up shelter for those longer skis.

Nordic Winter Fest has returned!

A reminder, We are so pleased to inform you that the Nordic Winter Festival is returning to Caledonia on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Get out there and have a wonderful day with Waxing Demos, Sit Skis, Chocolate Races, Lessons and more. It is a day for all to enjoy. Tell your family and friends because DAY PASSES ARE FREE!!

Smiles are contagious at this event. We are pleased to bring it back this season!
 

Schedule of Events:

FREE TRAIL PASSES ALL DAY 

SIGN FOR AND RECEIVE TRAIL PASSES UNDER THE TENT IN FRONT OF THE RENTAL SHOP

 

9:00AM – 2:00PM     Registration for ALL Winter Fest activities (except Chocolate Race) in the rental shop

9:30AM – 10:00AM   Waxing Demo with Johanne – Free in the stadium (by XC Tech)

10:00AM - 11:00AM   Introductory Classic Ski Lesson #1 $5.00 per person  (Participants must be age 7+)

10:15AM - 10:45AM   CHOCOLATE RACE Registration – UPSTAIRS IN LODGE $2.00 

10:30AM – 11:30AM  TRY PARANORDIC SKIING (SIT SKI and GUIDED SKI) – Free in Stadium

10:30AM - 12:00PM   Snowshoe Tour with Beryl   Meet by XC Tech building (free)

11:00AM                     CHOCOLATE RACE START! – Stadium 

11:30AM - 2:00PM     Hot Dogs and Hot Chocolate at the Gravel Pit (By donation, proceeds to FOOD BANK-                                           PLEASE BE GENEROUS)

1:00PM - 2:00PM        Introductory Classic Ski Lesson #2 $5.00 per person (Participants must be age 6+)

We are excited to let you all know the Grand Tour of Caledonia has retunred to the club for another season and registration is now open. Many new routes that incorporate a wide variety of trails including the new Birch Bend, Raven's Col and Ridgerunner. It will be a fantastic event.
