I hope you've had a good week! I've been doing as many meetings and as much prep as possible for the launch of Speak Better Teach Better - which looks phenomenal by the way and you'll hear all about it *very soon* ✨
Today, I'm writing with details on some news I began to share with you before the Christmas holidays.
As you know, we like keeping in contact with our teachers and receiving feedback on our work, which we continuously strive to improve.
I am pleased to say we have now completed a plan of improvements to our offer which will meet many of the demands we heard from you in the last few months and years.
The starting point is that many of you asked to purchase our courses with the carta docente. To do this, the MIUR's requirements are to a) establish a proper Italian company (LanguagEd SAS!) and b) fill out a lengthy application form in October. We are now finalising step a) and will be working on step b) in the coming months, so you can hopefully start using your carta docente with LanguagEd from next year.
Establishing LanguagEd SAS inevitably means we'll have to start charging IVA and be subject to higher taxation, which will see our prices increase. The new prices will come into force on 1 February, which is part of the reason I'm writing today - so you have time until the end of January to purchase the courses at the current prices.
But as you know how committed I am to the quality and affordability of our courses, I have worked on several improvements to the courses, so although the prices will be slightly higher, you will get much better value for your money.
These improvements are based on your specific requests and they include:
Doubled course duration, from 1 to 2 years, so you can get more time to study
A higher discount on your course renewal, from 20 to 30%
Free office hours, so you can make an appointment for a 15-minute time slot to ask any questions you have on the course contents
A reserved discount on our upcoming conversation programme Speak Better Teach Better
Aside from this, we will of course continue upholding the quality of all the other content we produce for you, including the Italian and English blog, the weekly newsletter with teaching tips, the live events, YouTube videos, downloadable materials and Facebook updates. Speaking of which, André will now be joining our content creation team on the blog and Facebook, so stay tuned for his updates!
