The 2023-24 School Year is Approaching!
Let us know your plans, and file your IDT

Deadline: February 1, 2023

To assist us in planning for the 2023-2024 school year, please let us know if your child will/will not be returning to Pacific School.  The deadline for this form is Wednesday, February 1, 2023.  If your student is an out of district student, Interdistrict Transfer Forms are also due to your home district by February 1, 2023.

Because of high demand and a waitlist for student enrollment, we would like to let other families know if there is a spot for their child next year. To help ensure a spot for your child, return this form to the office by February 1, 2023.

For more information: https://www.pacificesd.org/returning-family-deadlines.html.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Chyna in the Office

NO SCHOOL- MLK Jr.  Day
Monday, January 16, 2023
Dear Pacific School Friends and Family,

Bid and Sip (an Art & Wine event) is happening Friday, February 3rd from 5:30pm-8:00pm at the Slow Coast Wine Bar in Davenport. This is a fun event where you can mingle with your Davenport Community, eat yummy food from FoodLab, drink wine or bubbly non-alcoholic drinks and bid on local art, wine tastings and more while enjoying listening to live music.

This event usually sells out and there is an early bird price of $40 per ticket until January 20th. After January 20th, the price goes to the regular price of $50. There are a limited number of tickets due to space constraints at the Slow Coast Wine Bar.

Violy is hosting a kid’s party (ages 3 to 13) at the school with make your own burritos and a movie for $10 per ticket at the same time as the adult event.   The Pacific School Foundation still needs to raise $8,000 dollars this year in order to pay for all the programs that make Pacific School amazing such as Life Lab, Food Lab, the Library, Music, Theater and classroom grants.

Tickets are available for purchase today at (https://www.pacificschoolfoundation.org). Come and support Pacific School at our event.

Thank you,
Samantha Rosasco
president@pacificschoolfoundation.org

New Updates to Testing Timing

Response to COVID-19 Symptoms

All persons (students and staff) with COVID-19 symptoms, regardless of vaccination status or previous infection, should:

  • Self-Isolate and test* as soon as possible to determine infection status.

  • Remain in isolation while waiting for testing results. If not tested, they should continue to isolate for 10 days after the day of symptom onset (Day 0).

  • If testing negative with an antigen test, continue self-isolation and retest with an antigen or PCR in 1-2 days. Continue to repeat test every 1-2 days for several days until testing positive or symptoms improve.

  • If the result is positive, follow recommended actions for Ending Isolation after Testing Positive.

* Symptomatic persons who have tested positive within the previous 90 days, using an antigen test is recommended.

Sick? Stay Home
Symptomatic students still need to stay home from school. Please review the  Student COVID Flowchart or the County Office of Education's current COVID rules for schools.
With this week's notable spike in cases, staying home when sick, washing hands, and testing are as important as ever.  A winter surge has been projected, and this may be the start.
