A HISTORY OF SOUND
CROWD FUNDER
Happy New Year!

We hope 2023 has started well for you all. It certainly has for us: one of our wonderful VBFriends has generously offered to match all funds raised towards our A History of Sound education project to the value of £2,000.

We have just under 2 weeks to raise this figure and we are asking for your help: please donate today & spread the word to your friends and family.

ALL contributions, big or small, will be so gratefully received. You can read more about this project below. Please get in touch with our team if you have any questions. Many thanks in advance!

What was the first ever rhythmic sound? The very first instrument? What is a sound wave? What is pitch? What’s the difference between sound and music? Musical notation – what’s that all about?!

We proudly present 'A History of Sound', our interactive, educational children's show, accompanied by hands-on workshops and a cross-curricular resources pack for children aged 9 - 11 (school years 5 & 6).

We believe it has extremely exciting potential to act as a gateway to classical music and sound creation for young people. We are initially partnering with four state primary schools (two in Aylesbury, one in High Wycombe, one in Slough) whose children do not have access to regular music lessons and who would benefit enormously from this project.

In the future we would love to undertake a national tour, visiting primary schools in hard-to-reach and deprived areas, as well as festivals, libraries & other family-friendly venues.
