Want to Know How to Serve our Community Better? Join us Wednesday!
This Wednesday at 5 PM, you are invited to attend a Zoom meeting where we will receive qualitative research from our Conference about the city of Pleasant Grove. The research is called "Mosaics". In practice, they are little short stories of the people around the church. They give insight into how the church can better reach its community. Mosaics gives information about their preferred leadership style, hospitality, type of worship, and outreaches they care about. It also includes educational, small group, financial, and communication preferences.
Beginning Monday, January 23, from 7 to 8 p.m, all are invited to a new study. The book (Me and My Big Mouth by Joyce Meyer) is available on Kindle, etc. for about $7.99; soft cover is about $10.99 - $15 (depending on where it is purchased). With God’s help we can learn to master our mouth. Let Susie Travis know if you are interested (205-540-1571) The book is helpful but not absolutely needed. But you will need your Bible. *We are also considering a Zoom alternative for those unable to travel at night.*
Prayer List a blank slate for the new year
We collected a good bit of prayer concerns in 2022, many of which have thankfully been answered. The list will be cleared for 2023; please let Virginia or Matt know of any prayer concerns that need to be added or re-added for the new year.
The Rock-a-thon Returns!
Our outreach partner, McCoy Adult Day Care is pleased to announce the return of their Rock-a-thon fundraiser this year. Show your support by funding Bill Sadberry's rocker. Contact Bill for more info. The Rock-a-thon will be at 10 AM on Saturday February 18th at St Mark UMC.
The McCoy Adult Day Care Center provides a very high quality on-site program of Adult Day Care Services. This includes supervision, health screening, nutrition, therapeutic activities, exercise and lots of love.
