You'll know the happy-sad news that Stuart, Kath and the family are leaving us in a few weeks to move to Barrow-in-Furness, where Stuart will be vicar of two parishes. We are going to miss them all enormously, but they're not going just yet and I wanted to give you a few key dates for your diaries:

Sunday 15 January
Stuart's last Sunday of regular ministry among us before taking a period of extended leave. Stuart will be preaching in the morning and leading in the evening
Wednesday 1 March
Stuart speaking at the church prayer meeting about his future role – a chance to pray together for him and the whole family
Saturday 25 March
Farewell party for the Silks (details to follow)
Sunday 2 April
The Silk family's last Sunday at All Saints. Stuart will be preaching in the morning and leading in the evening
Saturday 22 April

Please do pray for the Silks in all they have to do over these next weeks. Pray they'll find time to rest as well as prepare for what the Lord has in store for them. Details of how you can contribute towards a leaving gift for them will follow soon.

Youth Clubs next week

On Thursday 19 January from 7.00-8.10pm in the Tiger, Engage (school years 6-9, ages 10-14) will be given £10,000 (sort of!) to spend at auction in 'Under the Hammer'.

Bobby and Amber McAdam will lead the study looking at the scripture and wisdom of the Cornerstone service from the week before. To help eliminate a Friday evening rush a simple meal will be provided at 7:00pm. MISSION

Mission Partner Focus: South Rwenzori Diocese and Kagando Hospital, Uganda

At the start of 2023 we give thanks for God’s goodness in protecting and providing for the needs of both the diocese and the hospital over the past year.
  • Thank Him for bringing many in the diocese to faith in Jesus during the past year and pray that new believers will continue to grow in faith and be established in truth.
  • Thank Him too for the men and women who will start training this month as lay readers or clergy, in order to teach in schools and new churches within the diocese. Pray for their protection and for the provision of fees for their training.
  • Thank God for answering prayer in providing the Rev. Nason as Hospital Manager at Kagando, where he will work as “right hand man” to Cannon Uzziah the CEO.  Pray for them as they manage hospital staff and projects within the hospital.
  • In particular pray for wise oversight of those working to achieve a long - standing goal to provide the hospital with an uninterrupted power supply by installing a new generator.
  • Thank God also for The Friends of Kagando - a charity based in the UK - which has supported the work of Kagando Hospital over many years through prayer, visits and fund-raising.    Pray for their newly constituted Board of Trustees, including some from All Saints, asking for God’s wisdom and insight as they as they undertake this vital role
