Hi <<First Name>>,

I hope your Christmas was wonderful! An early Happy New Year to you all!

1. I’ve always loved it that our calendar reflects a great truth of the gospel of Jesus. Because He came, there really can be a new beginning.

2. The first day of 2023 is Sunday! We’ll have our regular service schedule on both campuses at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. – These will be family services and Branch Kids will return on January 8th. (as a reminder: Thursday night service will return January 4th)

3. I’m thrilled that two gifted preachers will be sharing this weekend. Jason Davila will be bringing a New Year’s message out of Psalm 86 at the FB campus. Josh Brake will be bringing a New Year’s message out of Exodus 33 at the VR campus.

4. There’s something about having a plan when it comes to regularly spending a little time each day in Scripture. There’s no time like the present to make your plan for 2023! Here’s a quick guide to some different approaches out there that I’ve found to be helpful. https://redeemingproductivity.com/bible-reading-plans-2023

5. Flourish. It’s our theme for 2023 and our new series starting the weekend of January 8th.

6. Who you got? Georgia, Michigan, TCU, Ohio State?

7. Luka.

8. Research says that the average American gains 3-4 lbs. over the holidays. Anyone else have a “big” Christmas?

9. I helped tear down a beaver dam this week. That’s something that wasn’t anywhere on the horizon for me this time last week. Those critters are quite the engineers.

10. See you next year!

Grace and peace,

Chris
