A Verse for Today
She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
- Matthew 1:21

A Voice for Today
Was it necessary for the Infinite One … to be born a lower-class, brown-skinned, black-haired Middle Eastern Jew whose only means of transport was by scratched and calloused feet? To live under an enemy occupation determined to keep its subjects poor and politically powerless? Apparently, it was!
- Reta Halteman Finger, “Jesus Hiked”

A Prayer for Today

We serve a God who knows solidarity with those who have been outcast; may this be a comfort.

Winter Solstice Guests at Epiphany
The Winter Solstice Walk program offered on December 21 by the Abington Library, Rail-Trail Council of NEPA, and the Countryside Conservancy at Epiphany was a huge success.

We received this lovely thank-you note from Michael Richardson, one of the organizers:
"Thank you so much for your help in organizing, promoting, and providing us a space for our Winter Solstice Walk. It was such a wonderful program and such a blessing being able to bring our community together. We appreciate all of your help and please extend our thanks to the rest of the Church. We hope you all have a wonderful 2023!"
A Thank You from the Bird Family

Dear Church of the Epiphany,
What would we do without our church & everyone helping, caring, and giving. It was a beautiful send-off for Derry. There was a "fly-over" of geese before the service began.
