I began my fitness journey in 2006 as a table tennis player with Magesh Sir but my interest gradually shifted to strength and weight training.

From 2012 to 2018 I took various courses and workshops related to building strength under the guidance of some of the best in hopes to increase my experience and knowledge.

In 2018 my inclination towards nature began to increase so I started exploring some basic Natural Movements in a more natural context. And that's when I discovered that the training that we do should be both useful and utilized in our day to day life. I started implementing the Natural Movement aspects for both myself as well as in the training that I do for other people.

Cut to 2020, I came across MovNat's Instagram and got excited to do the level 1 & 2 certification. However, at that time my financial energy and sources weren't strong enough. So, I waited a few years and kept learning, observing the basic Natural Movements from a vast array of free MovNat resources.

In 2022 my inner being was feeling very strong and my heart kept telling me I had to experience this course for myself. So, in July 2022, I decided to personally invest in the MovNat Certification Course and got a loan to cover the expenses.

Joyfully enrolled, I did the basic preparation for the course which was held in November, 2022. I also wrote the online exam beforehand and passed it in 2 attempts. 

When I started my travel from Chennai, India, my goal was not solely to obtain the certification but to garner the experience and purely learn in the best possible way. The course took place from November 3rd to November 7th. 

The first level itself made me very excited and it was both intense and amazing to explore the many new movements. It was an extremely challenging three days but I successfully passed the level 1 with the expert guidance of Master Instructor Jerome Rattoni along with help from the other participants. 

The level 2 followed immediately being scheduled to start on November 6th. It was super intense, but again, another amazing learning experience was delivered by Jerome! Even though I practiced many Natural Movements in the past few years, his input and small but precise cues were incredibly awakening for me. It's true, the series of all the movements are absolutely practical in our daily life!

On the final day, I joyfully passed all the tests and got CERTIFIED AS A LEVEL 1 & 2 MOVNAT TRAINER! 

As I mentioned before, it was more than just a certification, the three months of preparation and the intense five day course made me so grateful and I was humbled to learn many new things about Natural Movement, proficient coaching, how to be supportive and kind while training others, and so much more.

Huge thanks! I'm forever grateful to the MovNat team and especially Jerome for structuring this amazing level 1 & 2 course for people to explore and experience it all in the best possible way. Also, a heartfelt thanks and congratulations goes out to all the participants who ventured out for this MovNat Certification Course and our amazing shared experience. 

I now plan to attend the level 3 to experience yet another amazing challenge.

 
I am beyond excited and can't wait to explore and share my experience and what I learned with others in 2023 and beyond!

Session 1

Warm Up: 2-3 Rounds : Hold Position for 1-2 Breaths


Emphasis:

Option 1: Individual Sets : 2-3 Sets/skill : Reps as indicated : Rest 1-2min

Option 2: Perform a mix of skills for 45sec, for 1-2min : 2-5 Sets

Tripod Get Up : 3-5x/side

Figure Four Get Up : 2-6x alternating position each time

Squat Get Up : 5-8x

Advanced Options:

Backward Roll Get Up : 2-5x/side

Single Leg Squat Get Up : 2-5x/side 


Combo: 3-5 Rounds

Session 2

Warm Up: 2 Rounds : Hold Position for 1-2 Breaths


Emphasis: 

Warm up with : Overhead Press : 2 Sets : 8-10x : Rest 1-2min : light-medium load : explore this press while in various sitting, kneeling, and squatting positions

Option to perform only the Overhead Press (adjusting load/reps for more or less challenge) and complete 1-3 more sets or progress with:

Push Press : 3-4 Sets : 6-8x : moderately challenging load
and/or
Push Jerk : 3-4 Sets : 3-5x : very challenging load


Combo: 3-5 Rounds

Session 3

Warm Up: 2-3 Rounds : Hold Position for 1-2 Breaths


Emphasis:

Tripod Vault : 3 Sets : 5x/side : Rest 1-2min

Split Vault : 3 Sets : 5x/side : Rest 1-2min

Side Vault : 3 Sets : 5x/side : Rest 1-2min


Combo: 3-5 Rounds

Personalize Your MovNat Session

When performing any of the MovNat Sessions you are encouraged to adapt the experience to meet your personal goals and current level of proficiency. Feel free to insert these sessions into your week in any order or block that you wish. A simple routine would be every other day, allowing 48hrs recovery between sessions. You can also omit sections of the session and focus on only the warm up, emphasis, or combo. ANY movement is better than NO movement. :)

We use VIC (Volume, Intensity, and Complexity) to regress or progress the skills making them either more approachable or to add an extra challenge.

V - Volume - More repetitions or more time moving.
I - Intensity - Add a load, move slower or faster.
C - Complexity - Add obstacles, change the surface you move on.

These are just a few examples. You are limited only by your imagination. As your MovNat abilities and understanding mature you will find more ways to challenge and stimulate the experience and make it just right for YOU.
