Surf Boat Fundraisers
Thanks to everyone who attended the recent Burger Night and Movie Night for the surf boat crews heading to the Australian Surf Rowers League's biggest events, the 'ASRL Open' in February. Your support is very much appreciated by those who have been training hard ready to race against the Australians!

Grant Recipients
The club are grateful for the support of New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT) who recently granted us some money to help our New Zealand crews out.

Club Calendars
Head to the Club Calendars page on our website for downloadable versions of the 2022/2023 Sport and Lifesaving calendars. There's also a link to our online club bookings calendar so you can see when the club is booked and for what.

Club Cleanliness
It is the responsibility of all members to keep the clubhouse clean and tidy. Please clean up after yourselves to ensure that the next users do not arrive to a mess. This includes the upstairs hall and making sure that the gear downstairs is put away.

Stormwater Management
Wellington Water are proposing an approach for reducing pollution of local harbours, rivers and streams from the council stormwater and wastewater networks. Our members are invited to have a say on the draft Stormwater Management Strategy by the end of February 2023. You can read more about it here on the Wellington Water website and fill out the survey.

Lifeguards @ Titahi Bay Beach
The Paid Lifeguard Service finished on Friday 27 January and the volunteer service will continue until Sunday 5 March. Please note we need lifeguards to patrol on Waitangi Day - let Georgia know if you are available. You can access the Patrol Roster here.

Advanced Surf First Aid Award
Congratulations to Steve Donkin and Diana Murfitt for recently completing their Advanced Surf First Aid qualification. This is the highest Surf first aid qualification you can get and is also known as PHEC - Pre Hospital Emergency Care. We have very few first aiders with this level of training, so it is great to add some more to the roster.

Remember you can cross-credit most first aid training from outside of Surf (i.e. work or school). Just contact member.education@surflifesaving.org.nz with evidence of your qualification and they can work with you on getting your qualifications recognised
