Illinois Blue Cross Community Changes

Effective Jan. 1, 2023, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) will require electronic submission
of all claims for services provided to BCCHP and MMAI members. 

If you provide care and services to any Illinois Blue Cross Community Health PlansSM (BCCHP) or Blue Cross Community MMAI (Medicare-Medicaid Plan)SM members, it’s time to switch to electronic claim filing, if you haven’t done so already. The last date of service to submit paper claims for BCCHP and MMAI members is Dec. 31, 2022

Time to check for new Insurance

Now is a good time to verify the Patient's Insurance
Is it the same or did they change plans
Ask the patients for a copy of their current Insurance Cards
 

New Year – New Case for 2023

For Dates of Services starting on 1/1/2023
We suggest making a new case for the New Year
Whenever a Patient changes their insurance, a new case should be made
