Welcome to the Listening Hour

Hi, everyone!

Welcome to the first Listening Hour of 2023! We look forward to seeing you tomorrow for a gentle start to the new year, with space for listening and expression.

What is the Listening Hour?

A free, weekly 1-hour connection and empathy space currently hosted by people who have experience in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), for anyone interested in NVC. 

This is not a workshop but a peer listening space to encourage listening. 

The Listening Hour is not suitable if you are going through significant emotional upheaval or for processing trauma. If you are, see the "Alternative Pathways for Support" section below.

This week's focus - Reflecting back with ease and effectiveness

Each week we try to share something about some aspect of the Listening Hour or of NVC in generatl.

This week we want to draw your attention to the skill of reflecting back with ease and effectiveness which is a key skill in Nonviolent communication and any active listening practice.

Here is a short video Ceri made for the listening hour a while ago. It may be helpful to revisit it, even if you've seen it before.
