Vibe City:
Poetics of the Crush
In this five-week workshop, we’ll explore crushing as a liminal space in which the possibilities for being remain perpetually unfinished. Our interests will coalesce around topics of self-crushing, romantic crushing, literary and geographic crushing, etc. What ethical questions arise in writing desire? Can a haptic approach to writing generate new forms of relation, both of and beyond the quotidian? Read more.

Poetry and the Future Self
In this five-week online workshop at the start of the new year, we’ll meditate on the concept of Future Self, the version of yourself and your poems that you know you can be and that you want to write. In an atmosphere of self-trust and mutual respect, and through weekly exercises, prompts and workshopping, we’ll let go of limiting beliefs that no longer serve us and our poems and find new ways of feeling and writing so that we may become unstuck. The Rules We Break
Inside most poets is a petulant five year-old who bristles when told not to do something. This especially applies to poetry: when someone becomes too prescriptive about what it is or should be, or what it should or shouldn’t do. In this five-week online workshop, we’ll engage in the liberatory practice of pushing against rules: whether they be academic, social or personal. From leaning into writing about the moon to leaning into hearts, clichés and idioms, we’ll examine sample texts and look at how they conform to or buck established conventions. Read more.
