2022 was a busy year, and I am proud of all we accomplished at EPI. Just a few highlights are below.
- EPI produced our annual State of Working America report, tracking wages, incomes, poverty, and wealth through 2021 to answer the question, “How well is the economy working for working families in the U.S.?”
- We reported on how bad policy responses to globalization have decimated manufacturing employment, with Black and Hispanic workers being particularly harmed.
- We produced significant research on the benefits to both workers and the economy of raising the federal minimum wage. Rising inflation rates have made a minimum wage hike more urgent than ever.
None of this work, or our many other research projects, would have been possible without the generous support of people like you, who share EPI’s vision of a fair economy.
It is vital that EPI has the resources to get off to a strong start in 2023 to meet the demands and challenges that lie ahead.
