We close this year with celebrating our students and staff of Developing Communities. We are blessed every year with dedicated students and amazing staff to support and guide these ambitious kids. Meet our newest graduates! This month we graduated Yahoska and Ana from High School and 4 more from University (Meydell and Maryine), Medical school (Idalia), and Technical college (Jeraldine).
Each of these students has worked so hard to achieve their dreams, against all odds, and finish their degrees. We are all so proud of them.
Without your financial support, this dreams would not be fulfilled.
Jeraldine - Technical College, Business Administration
Idalia - Medical School Graduate
Join us - Volunteer Trip To Nicaragua
Jan 2023
We are planning a volunteer work opportunity next month. It has been awhile since we've led a group trip and I've heard from many people that they are interested in getting out there and "making a difference" in the world. Let's face it - It's been a rough couple years and it feels good to finally get out and do something meaningful for others. Covid and the economic crisis in Nicaragua are making our efforts even more important.
If you've never been to Nicaragua with me, this your chance to meet our amazing students and learn more about our programs. If you've been before, your friends in Nicaragua can't wait to see you again. We'll be working on remodeling some rural schools with new paint, new doors, new windows and chalkboards. Right before the beginning of the 2023 school year, this will start the year with a brand new classroom for the kids in rural Nicaragua.
Dates are Jan 27th - Feb 5th and space will be limited to 10 volunteers. Please contact me if you are interested and I will also start sending out more detailed information. To start looking at flights, there are only three airlines currently flying to Nicaragua. Avianca (preferred),United & American just started back this month. (Flights are cheap right now)
