Special Notice From Our Pastor

Hello Beloveds,

As you know, our Annual Meeting is coming up. During my time at the church I have felt carried and guided, my year at the church has been remarkable, in that everytime we had a problem that needed addressing, the Congregation stepped up. I am so excited to be working with Sam, but I am going to miss Liz’ presence and wise council. She has offered all of us so many gifts of the Spirit.

Liz is one of those people who sit at the heart of a congregation. Her commitment and the time she spends on meetings, bazaars, and rummage sales, to name a few, has been invaluable. There were many things that drew me to this church, but it was Liz that cornered me and put a contract in front of me. She is, quite simply, a quiet force of nature.

I would like to have a special recognition of her at the meeting. If you have a “Liz” story to share, please send it to me, or drop it off in my mailbox. Pictures from years past would be wonderful (if we have a scrapbooker in our midst, that would be amazing (not my talent). It would also be nice to get her a gift that will travel with her when she moves, something that she will use and appreciate. I would appreciate any suggestions, you know her taste better than I do.

If you would like to participate in her gift, please put your donation in Dan’s (Assistant Treasurer) box, he will keep track of them. It is almost the New Year, we have much to do and the spirit to make it all happen. God is Good, All the Time.

Much love, Denise

WELCOME
We, the members of the West Suffield Congregational Church, are called by God to live as one community. We strive to love, as we are loved by God, both freely and unconditionally. We recognize, celebrate, and affirm that all persons are individuals of sacred worth. Therefore, we intentionally welcome all God’s children regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, ethnicity, marital status, physical or mental ability, political stance, or theological perspective. Each person is important to God and each person’s abilities and gifts are called forth to help build and strengthen the work of Gods’ Kingdom here, in our community and around the world. We strive with the help of the Holy Spirit to become more like Jesus in our love and support for one another, in order to oppose and overcome any injustice, oppression, and prejudice that continues in our society, our communities, and ourselves.
