Exploring Music with Bill McGlaughlin - 7pm Weekdays
Unfinished Symphonies – Franz Schubert wasn’t the only composer who passed from this earth with an incomplete symphony on his shelf. Edward Elgar, Gustav Mahler, Anton Bruckner, and other symphonists left tantalizingly unfinished material. Varied and unusual stories explain why each one of these works remained unfinished on its shelf and buried deep in the back of our composers’ minds.

The Little Thieves of Bethlehem – Hear a tuneful and heartwarming children’s opera that is set 12 days after the birth of Christ, at the stable by the inn in Bethlehem. The Opera Theatre of Rochester’s Orchestra and Chorus perform, joined by the Eastman Bach Children’s Chorus. 
The Met Opera at Noon - Saturday
Luigi Cherubini’s Medea, starring Sondra Radvanovsky. Joining Radvanovsky are tenor Matthew Polenzani as Medea’s Argonaut husband, Giasone; soprano Janai Brugger as Medea's rival, Glauce; bass Michele Pertusi as the King of Corinth; and mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Gubanova as Neris. Maestro Carlo Rizzi conducts.

Pianist, orchestra leader and composer José Basso was trained by the great Anibal Troilo, then led his own orchestra uninterruptedly for more than fifty years! Everywhere he went, from Argentina to Japan, he was wildly popular. Host Cally Banham plays the music of José Basso spanning his long career and tells stories of his extraordinary life.
