Girls Basketball:
Kourtnie Borns, Senior Guard

Kourtnie is an outstanding 3 year Varsity player with a 3.5 GPA (and whose twin sister Kandis is one of our team managers).

Kourt is a great leader and fearless. Our smallest player in height, she more than makes up for that in her intensity and toughness. She's our best perimeter defender and was selected as a tri-captain by her coaches, due to her leadership and unselfishness.

She has narrowed her college choices down to UMES, Towson, Temple, Wilson, NC A&T. (accepted to all) and plans on pursuing a career as a PT.

It's Academic Trivia Team

Bring on the buzzers and the laughter! Students in all grades are welcome to join the "It's Academic" Trivia Team. Students meet weekly and participate in games, answering general knowledge questions that span the academic disciplines and extend to current events, and even pop culture. Previously featured on the TV show, the team also participates in virtual scrimmages and local tournaments. All are welcome!

Meets: Fridays at 2:15pm-3:15pm in Room 304

Contact: Mr. Edlowitz - Jan_Edlowitz@hcpss.org, Ms. Coker - Jennifer_Coker@hcpss.org

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

In order to provide all the incredible programs to Reservoir students and staff that we do, we need the help of parent volunteers. Concessions and spirit wear sales are an important part of RHS home sporting events and require parent, guardian, aunt, uncle or grandparent involvement. These volunteer opportunities require no experience and any individual 18+ can volunteer. We will NEVER ask you to miss any portion of your athlete's game.

The research is pretty overwhelming in terms of the correlation between high school students who are involved in a high school sport or activity versus those who are not. Students who are involved are more likely to graduate, more likely to go to college, more likely to have better grades, less likely to get into trouble and less likely to suffer from depression. Therefore our primary mission as an organization is to encourage and support every single student who wants to be a part of something at Reservoir.
