The MGGA/UME/MWA Annual Grape and Wine Conference will be on Wednesday and Thursday, January 25 and 26, 2023. The good news is that it will be IN PERSON this year at the Kent Island Resort on Kent Manor Drive in Stevensville. Please see the program and registration information below.
There will be concurrent sessions for both days. The first Wednesday track will be a full day of a New Growers Workshop. The concurrent session will include presentations on vineyard expansion, leaf pulling, vineyard ergonomics, mechanical harvesting, and ripe rot management.
There will be a Reception from 5-7 to interact and share some wines and food.
Thursday will have concurrent viticulture and winery tracks. The viticulture track includes presentations on vineyard soil quality, late season rot management, a fruit harvesting quality/testing panel, and a cultivar research wine tasting; the afternoon will be dedicated to Spotted Lanternfly background and management. The Winery track will cover all aspects and details of starting a winery, with an overlap of the fruit harvesting quality/testing panel and the cultivar research wine tasting,
A detailed schedule with speakers will follow. For info on reserving a room and to REGISTER, go to:
