Personal Mission Statement and Vision for 2023

Welcome to 2023! Women Who Code is excited to be in community with you this year!

As you start the new year, take a moment to clarify your desires, purpose, and how you want to feel before setting your goals.

Creating a mission statement is a way to align how you want to grow. It can provide guidance and clarity as you create goals that are attainable and make sense for you. In the same way a business creates a mission statement, you can craft one for yourself. Throughout the year, you can refer back to it as a reminder of your “why”, to keep you focused on specific actions to take toward your goals.

What’s your personal mission statement?
Share it with @WWCode on Twitter. We might retweet you!

Gabriel Rowan, WWCode member, reflected on the book Quiet by Susan Cain. The book explores the differences between introverts and extroverts — and the unique power of introverts in a world that tends to favor the other. At Women Who Code, we talk a lot about the importance of being your authentic self, and staying true to who you are as you navigate your career — and that includes honoring your social or communication style.

This week, we’re highlighting videos from our YouTube channel that can help us all develop communication skills to better navigate our careers.
