Welcome to the January edition of our newsletter

I would like to wish you all a very happy new year. We’re looking forward to a busy and productive year in which we’ll continue to support artists across Ireland to make great work, and enable high quality arts experiences to happen in every part of Ireland for the widest possible audience.

Recently we shared our provisional funding opportunity schedule for 2023. Applications for the Agility Award and Bursary Award are now being accepted, with more schemes opening in the coming weeks. If you’re applying for these awards, we strongly encourage you to submit before the deadline, as we anticipate a high volume of submissions.

As you’ll see below, a number of our arts teams will be hosting funding clinics this month, offering useful tips around the application process. Please be sure to sign up for these if you can. If you have questions not covered by the clinics, please contact the relevant team – they will be delighted to help.

On the 17th of January, we look forward to hosting a Night-Time Economy Forum at the National Gallery of Ireland. This event, organised with the support of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, aims to encourage new initiatives and partnerships and spark new thinking around the role of the arts in creating a vibrant night-time economy. Tickets for the event are free and the sessions will also be streamed live on our YouTube channel.

We hope that you have had a relaxing, enjoyable and well-deserved rest and we look forward to our continued work with you throughout 2023.
