Adaire will be hosting a 2nd-8th Grades Science Fair this spring!

Mrs. Beall, one of our
2nd grade teachers is coordinating the program.

Students will receive a registration form with a list of topics your child can choose

from. Under each topic area you’ll find a list of “ideas” that can help guide you when you choose a

topic. You are NOT limited to these ideas. Please send back the registration form to your child’s teacher by January 31st.

The Science Fair committee will review your child’s project and send it back to you ASAP!

Science Fair Goals include:

  • Ensuring this is a positive experience for the students

  • Students perform every step of the scientific method

  • Student Fair on site: March 29th for 2nd-4th & March 30th for 5th-8th

  • Student awards & recognition March 31st

We wanted to give everyone plenty of time to plan their projects. Here are some dates to note:

  • Thursday, 01/23/22 @ 3:30 PM: Student + Parent/Guardian Q&A
  • Friday, 01/31/22: Last day to hand in registration form. Registration CLOSED

We are going to need parent/guardian volunteers to support this event. If promoting science is for you, then please email Lindsay Li

Other questions? Email Mrs. Beall

We hope to see many creative projects!

Fishtown Neighbors Association Slow Zone Survey

The Fishtown Neighbors Association is applying for a Neighborhood Slow Zone as part of the City of Philadelphia's Vision Zero campaign to eliminate pedestrian injuries and fatalities. According to the FNA, the Neighborhood Slow Zone would bring traffic-calming improvements to our streets and promote increased traffic safety in our neighborhood. Head here to learn more and complete the survey if you are interested in helping them gather input from our community.
