Parents and Students,

In order to maintain a safe and orderly dismissal process and account for both students leaving and in the building, we are communicating our procedure for dismissal agin as the new year begins. This will be enforced.

All 1st-8th students will go outside with their class to the carline at 3:30. No students may stay in the narthex during this time.  Students in extra-curricular activities must go to Mrs. May's room until the coach or activity sponsor picks them up.

Any students who are not picked up in the carline will return to the building. They will be taken to extended care and checked in unless arrangements have been made by a parent or guardian with Mrs. Everling. Students may not sit in the narthex without adult supervision.

Students who have cell phones may not use those cell phones while in the car line. If a student needs to contact a parent or make arrangements, they may use the office phone when they return to the building or call from their cell phone once in the office under the supervision of the school secretary or another adult.

We appreciate and value your partnership in making Our Shepherd a safe and secure environment for everyone!

Do you have a heart for service, enjoy planning fun events, or just want to support the school with your time and talents? A team typically steps up for at least two seasons before handing it off to a new group. This can be led by an individual, a team of two, or a small group.  There are emeritus chairs that are around to help along the way. This auction takes place in early November each year. Planning usually begins early in the new year. If you are interested in heading up the auction committee that provides scholarships for school families, please contact Principal Amy Hedges ASAP at principal@ourshepherd.org or talk to her when you see her.

This week's video highlight is Trial & Triumph: Revelation's Churches
Click the link HERE to view this series and read the full description.

From the creators of the award-winning documentary series “Searching for a King”, comes a brand new, feature-length documentary on the letter written to the seven churches of Asia in the book of Revelation.

Jeremy Dehut takes an exciting and personal journey to modern-day Turkey, as he explores seven unique cities and talks with Dr. Mark Wilson, a leading researcher on ancient Biblical Turkey, and other archaeologists and historians.

By also highlighting the stories of Christians around the world who are living and learning from the same reliable and relevant message given to those seven churches, audiences are compelled to consider the challenges, cultural pressures, and victories that those 1st century Christians experienced and what the message of Revelation means for each of us today.
