Farewell from HDFFA's Executive Director

The idea of the High Desert Food and Farm Alliance began in 2010, with Katrina Van Dis, current Executive Director, as one of the main founders. As of May 1st, 2023, Katrina will be retiring from her position.

"I want to extend my gratitude to all the people who have supported HDFFA.  This includes every staff and board member, every farmer who tirelessly worked with me to build this organization, and all the donors, volunteers and community members."

With well over a decade invested into this organization, Katrina will be deeply missed. Read her farewell letter here.

Broadband Access Focus Group

Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC) is working with Magellan Broadband to ensure everyone has the internet access they need. It is especially important for them to hear from farmers, agricultural producers, distributors and suppliers in Deschutes County. If interested, please email Magellan project manager Dr. Greg Laudeman at glaudeman@magellanbroadband.com to attend a focus group on the topic on Tuesday, January 24th, at 8:00 AM. You can also head to HDFFA's Central Oregon Service Provider Recommendations Survey to answer a few questions about your internet access.
