This year we are looking forward to Rally for multiple reasons. The fellowship and community is so refreshing and allows us time to re-center ourselves with friends we haven’t seen in a long time; Rally allows us to see our camp friends during the year which is so special. It also gives us an opportunity to reconnect with the Spirit during the winter months.

Rally is such a welcoming space for youth to bring their crazy lives and recharge when things are stressful. We love that this gives us an opportunity to meet new people that our friends invite from their schools or events. Rally is such a unique experience because we get to worship with other youth our age. We learn so much about ourselves and God during Rally. Rally also gives us motivation to start the new year with God’s love in our hearts and prioritize living the mission of Community of Christ.

Join us for Rally 2023 as we WONDER together how joy, hope, love, and peace shape our lives and call us in to action. The four day experience will be filled with sacred music, exciting activities, meaningful testimonies, tasty snacks, discipleship formation, and hilarious humor! Please join us at the Family Life Center doors will open at 6:00pm and programming is from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. This is a free event for all Middle and High School aged youth. There will be an option to purchase snacks at the concession stand so please send cash if you would like. Invite your friends.

Sharing the Gift of Warmth!

Year after year members of Central Mission generously provide new coats for children & adults in Eastern Jackson County.  This year we assisted around 750 persons!  This is nearly twice as many as usual!  Together we are serving our community! More than 30 volunteers helped shop, sort, prep, and help families pick out coats. We are still accepting donations to support the Coat Drive.  Please give through e-tithing, weekly offerings, or by

Advocacy to Abolish the Death Penalty

The Justice and Peace Action Team of Greater Kansas City invites you to join us for an information meeting with Missourians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (MADP) on Tuesday, January 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the Woods Chapel Congregation, 500 NE Woods Chapel Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO. If you are not able to attend the meeting in person, a Zoom link is provided below.
Elyse Max, co-director of MADP, will share about MADP’s work and how we can participate in their Advocacy Day on January 31 in Jefferson City. We will learn how to join them under the dome to talk with our elected officials about ending the death penalty in Missouri.
