Last chance for public comment on Idaho Power's request for a CPCN (certificate for public convenience and necessity) also known as Eminent Domain, will be accepted until January 10th. Two hearings were held (in Nov & Dec) and about 40 people gave passionate and informed verbal testimony. While this is the last opportunity for public comment, intervenors* and OPUC staff are still engaged in this contested case which is scheduled to run through June 2023.

 

*If you are an intervenor at the OPUC in this contested case, your Opening Testimony is due on January 17, 2023.  The Discovery Phase is now in progress.  If you want a stronger involvement in this case, you can file to be an “intervenor.”  An intervenor is like having “standing” in the case.  To be an intervenor contact Jim at: jim@stopb2h.org to discuss what this entails.
