On January 13, 2023, the Government of Canada consultation on HIV Non-Disclosure will come to a close. We want to thank those of you who have already submitted responses to the consultation.

For those who have not yet participated, this is your last chance to make a submission through the online survey, available at this link. It is critical that the government hear from organizations working in HIV. We have prepared a backgrounder document that summarizes the state of the law and the key recommendations outlined in the Canadian Coalition to Reform HIV Criminalization’s (CCRHC’s) past and most recent Community Consensus Statements. The backgrounder document features suggested answers to the Government of Canada’s consultation questions; these can be used as a starting place for your own responses. If you are comfortable, please email your completed submission to the CCRHC at ccrhc.ccrcv@gmail.com for our internal tracking purposes; these will not be widely shared.
