This morning at the 10:30 service, we will celebrate the baptism of
Tanner Joseph Smies, son of Samuel and Makayla.
Jameson Andrew Haan, son of Kyle and Jacqueline.
Lena Josephine Visser, daughter of Donovan and Beth.

Sunday School for  Students in kindergarten through 5th grade will be dismissed during the service to the children's ministry area. Preschoolers may be checked in at the Connection Counter and dropped off at the preschool room prior to the start of the service. 
Preschool Worship - If your child is participating in preschool(ages 3+), please check them in at the Connection Counter on the main floor and walk them downstairs prior to the service.
 

Praise & Thanks

  • Alaina Schuitema arrived safely in Zambia. She Is starting to learn the customs,  culture and language of Zambia. They sat on elephant hooves while visiting the prime minister.  They also went to see Victoria Falls!  Breathtaking! Pray for God to bless their work and training as nurses in the hospitals in this region.
  • A note from Dick & Ruth De Vries ~ Thank you for all the prayers, cards, calls and visits to Dick while he was in the hospital. Special thanks to Pastor Merle and the Sherwood's for their special concern and care. We are so blessed! Praise God!

Prayer Requests

  • Our Christian sympathy to Ben and Ruth Cook following the passing of Ben's nephew Clayton Daniels on January 22.
  • Lisa  Rookus, daughter of  Bob and Carol Koster had open heart surgery this week to address problems with her mitro valve in her heart.
  • Ruth Herringa had knee replacement surgery this past week. Pray for quick healing.
  • Al Post was admitted to the hospital this past week due to severe pain in his hand caused by an infection. He had surgery to remove the infection. Pray for healing.
Faith Promise Missions ~ Chris and Angie Walker are serving as missionaries in Papua, New Guinea with New Tribes Mission. They work among the Mibu people who recently are celebrating 28 new Christian believers professing their faith in Jesus Christ! The Mibu’s are praising God for his mighty power to change hearts in the middle of the worst humanitarian crisis this community has faced since World War II.  Click here to read their latest newsletter.

ARTS CAMP COMING JULY 10-13!
We are very excited to be bringing back Arts Camp to Caledonia CRC this summer! We are in the process of planning classes. If you have a talent or hobby that you would like to teach, please let us know! Some classes we would like to offer are pottery, jewelry making and painting. Please contact Brynn Curtis childrensministries@caledoniacrc.org if you would like to teach a class or volunteer to help.

The next book club is meeting Wed. February 8 at 1:00pm in the Common Grounds area.  We will be reading Before & After by Judy Christie & Lisa Wingate. 

Saturday morning men's Bible study group will meet this Saturday at 7:00 am in the Roadside room. Lesson 5- “How Do We Live With an Eye on Eternity"  For more information contact Pastor Merle.
 

 
GEMS will meet on Wednesday, February 1 at church from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Come and join us for Superhero Night!
Cadets will meet on Wednesday, February 1 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm at church.
February 4 is the Cadet Snow Derby at Lakeside CRC. Start time is noon with lunch included. Please bring a can of soup to be given to a local food pantry.
WiRED will meet TONIGHT from 6:30pm - 8:00pm at church. Dinner will be provided.
We are going to Caberfae for a Ski Day on February 17. You must sign up by February 13 at Noon. No changes will be able to be made after that.

Seminary Students - Anyone who will be studying at Calvin College Theological Seminary or any other seminary in 2023-2024, please contact the Student Committee of Classis Thornapple Valley classistv.student.committee@restorationcrc.org. If you are a new student who will request financial assistance from classis, then an application form will be immediately sent to you. Your completed application must be received by us by March 1, 2023.
