Town Hall Food Pantry

The Town has resumed being a food pantry donation drop off point for nonperishable items. There is a bin/container located inside the door of the Administrative Building. Please place the items in the container and someone from the food pantry will pick it up when it is full. We appreciate your gratitude.

THE WESTERN LOUDOUN FOOD PANTRY THANKS YOU!

As we enter 2023, we, the volunteers at the Food Pantry, and our clientele, wish to thank the Lovettsville Community for your generous support over the last year.

While the names of many who have donated food and money over 2022 are unknown, we would especially like to thank those which we do know who have made major contributions and represent a Roll of Honor. Our current Roll of Honor includes (in no particular order): Lovettsville Lions Club; Lovettsville Waterford Ruritans; Lovettsville Game Protective Association; Freedom Masonic Lodge #118; Milcreek Farm; A Farm Less Ordinary; local Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts; Zion Lutheran Church; New Jerusalem Lutheran Church; Mount Olivet United Methodist Church; Harmony Middle School; Lovettsville Historical Society; Greater Brunswick Chamber of Commerce; RHOLC Foundation; Wegmans in Sterling; 1836 Restaurant; Ridgeway's Automotive; and Tim Keena. (*If we have forgotten your organization or name, please let us know so we may recognize you as well.)

This is not to mention the numerous volunteers from the community, who have helped us staff our open hours, shop and generally keep operations going. This aid is invaluable. We also appreciate those who have put out collection bins for donations.

Despite your generosity, of course, the need has not gone away. Inflation and low wages are leading many in our community to require assistance to put good food on the table while struggling in making ends meet. You can find the frequently updated list of current (and constant) needs on the Food Pantry website.

Think Before You Flush!

Friendly Reminder: Many people are using disinfecting wipes, paper towels, masks and gloves to maintain health protocols, the Town asks that residents please do not dispose of these products in the toilet. They do not break down like toilet paper and can clog your pipes and the Town’s sanitary sewer system.
