What If?
Let's be honest. The last thing we all need is one more thing on our calendars each week. Can I get an amen? I have particularly turned into a homebody in the evenings, and I'd really rather not leave my house once I'm home for the night. I don't think I'm alone in this, but I say this so you'll hear me out on what I'm about to say next:

What if for Lent this year instead of giving up candy or coffee or TV, we all (myself included) collectively committed to something different? What if you created a group with friends or family (either from Fusion or not) and spent 1 hour a week in fellowship and in discussion around our next sermon series, "What if Jesus was Serious?"

These groups will start the week of February 12th. We'll provide each group with the books, conversation starters/discussion questions, and fun snacks every other week like Corona Village chips and salsa and sweets from Michelle's Mad Batter. Depending on the group, we might be able to even help line up childcare for a group if that's something that would help you meet successfully.

You don't have to meet perfectly every week, but the idea is that when you take the conversation from Sunday's sermon to conversation with others, you get a chance to explore these things deeper, hear new perspectives, and remember that following Jesus isn't something you're expected to do alone.

The Details:
  • This series will start the week of February 12th (2 weeks before Lent) and go for 9 weeks
  • We'll have the books at the connection desk on Sundays for a suggested donation of $5
  • The fun treats and discussion questions will be provided free!
