When we first asked Boris Nemchenok, co-owner of Fiorella Restaurant, if he would be interested in hosting a Guest Chef dinner at Farming Hope, he replied, “why didn’t you ask me sooner?!”
Boris and co-owner Brandon Gillis share our passion for feeding folks in need and have taken part in multiple food justice initiatives. We are proud to have introduced them to the Bay Area Restaurant Coalition, part of the restaurant industry’s movement towards more equitable hiring here in the Bay Area. The group also includes our previous Guest Chefs from Flour + Water and Good Good Culture Club. We love working with Chefs that share our vision for more sustainable futures for workers and food systems.
On Thursday February 9th, Farming Hope’s Apprentices will get a chance to work alongside the kitchen team from Fiorella to prepare a delicious 5 course menu. Enjoy a one of a kind meal experience knowing that you’re directly supporting Farming Hope's Apprenticeship program and providing meals for food insecure families.
We look forward to seeing you there!
