NEW NEIGHBOR STORIES
This brief video shares a bit of the story, the struggle and the joy of several of our new neighbors in Central Wisconsin, including one of the Afghan families our parish has sponsored.
WELCOMING OUR NEW NEIGHBORS DISCUSSION: Central Wisconsin welcomed more than 175 refugees from countries such as Afghanistan, Congo, Syria and Burundi. The experience of welcoming these new neighbors will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the UW Center for Civic Engagement Veninga Theater. Click here for more information.
SHARING MINISTRY IN JANUARY
Sign-up links are found here for ministries at Mass this coming weekend and for the rest of January. THANKS to those who so generously participate in these necessary roles at Mass.
READERS - WELCOME MINISTERS - SERVERS
A PROJECT OF DISTINCTION: Ellis Construction was honored by the Wisconsin Associate of Builders and Contractors with a Projects of Distinction Gold Award for its renovation of St. Anne Church. Fr. Tom and Doug Holmberg of the parish accepted the award along with Andrew Halvorsen and Erik Carlson of Ellis.
GIVING LIFE AT ST. ANNE - FEB. 20
A blood drive will be held at St. Anne Feb. 20. You can make an appointment by calling 715.842.0761. Walk-ins also will be welcomed. Donations will benefit the Blood Center of North Central Wisconsin. In a recent bulletin column, Fr. Tom encouraged those who are able to donate blood to do so.
BRING BACK BABY BOTTLES: Baby bottles distributed during Advent are being collected to support the Hope Life Center and its outreach to those facing an unplanned pregnancy or dealing with a past abortion. ALL BABY BOTTLES ARE ASKED TO BE RETURNED - even if they're still empty, since they can be re-used.

THE SUNDAY READINGS ON TUESDAY: Read, discuss and pray over next Sunday's reading in a weekly gathering at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Gathering Space.  It’s a great way to anticipate hearing the readings proclaimed at Mass and to gain a deeper awareness into the meaning and power of God’s word.  All are welcome!
JUST FOR KIDS: A proclamation of God's word prepared for children is offered at the 8:30 Sunday Mass. Children ages 4 to second grade are invited to gather at the altar after the Collect, or opening prayer. They return as the collection is being gathered.
HOW DO WE SEE SUFFERING? Here is the latest column by Eric Clayton, a young Catholic husband, father and writer, who strives to find God in all things. He is the author of Canonball Moments: Telling Your Story, Deepening Your Faith.
COMMUNITY SHABBAT: Mount Sinai Congregation of Wausau invites friends and neighbors to a Community Shabbat service at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27. Following the prayer ritual welcoming the Sabbath, there will be tours of synagogue, refreshments and a discussion with the rabbi and congregation leadership. The event coincides with Holocaust Rembembrance Day. The synagogue is located at 910 W. Randolph St.
SUPER ROLL SUNDAY: Mary, Mother of Good Help Parish resumes its popular Super Roll Sunday egg roll and spring roll sale on Feb. 12, Super Bowl Sunday. Order online at marymotherofgoodhelp.org.

SHARING WITH THE PARISH
Parish worship and ministries depend upon the generosity of ALL parishioners. And, it couldn't be easier to make a contribution. Scheduling an ongoing contribution or making a one-time donation - is just a click away. Thanks to all who share generously with the parish.
LORD'S DAY MASS
Worship in-person is always ideal, but if circumstances prevent you from gathering with the community, a livestream of Mass is offered at 8:30 Sunday morning. A link is at left, as well as at the parish web site. The link can be watched anytime after 8:30. Here is a link to this week's worship aid and a link to Sunday's readings.
