What is it that you want more than anything in this world? Could it be a house to call home, a career to mark your financial acumen, a special skill to demonstrate your personal uniqueness, or social media explosion to conquer the social climate of the western atmosphere? What is it that makes your heart TikTok? Do you even fully understand what your heart’s desire is?
Many people have been asked that question throughout life, and yet some haven’t a clue what it is that drives them forward when everything around them says, stop. Others know immediately what it is that will make their life better, and they can give you all the details concerning it.
As we open the pages of Paul’s letter to the church in Rome, we find in Chapter 10 that he exposes what he sees as his heart’s desire. Paul, an apostle to the Gentiles, desperately has a passion to see his own people, the Jews, saved through a relationship with Christ Jesus. Unfortunately, his heart is breaking because most of them don’t see things the same way about Jesus as he does.
This Sunday we’re going to look at Paul’s heart and compare it with our heart and see if there is a similarity or difference between the two.
