It’s very weird being in this place where I’m doing the “last” of many things. I’ve preached my last sermon, next Sunday will be my last Sunday as a member of Grace Fellowship Church, and this is the last newsletter that I’ll be writing. I am truly excited about what lies ahead of me and my family, yet it’s sad knowing that my days at this church and in this city are numbered. But that’s the way it should be, right? It should be a bittersweet experience, right? At least, I’m thankful that’s the case.

In exactly one week, I’ll be taking all of my possessions to St Thomas. We’re leaving our stuff in storage there and heading down to Florida for the month of February to rest and enjoy time together as a family before I begin my ministry at Eastwood Baptist Church on March 1. As you remember us, please pray that we have a restful and joyful time.

For now, I’m still a pastor here and I’m still on staff for a few more days! My desire is to finish well and serve with my whole heart until the end. If there is anything you need from me before I’m gone, please get in touch with me this week. I’m eager to serve. And members, don’t forget that we have a Members’ Meeting this Sunday evening at 5 PM. Yes, I’ll be there and I’m excited to share more about staff updates. If you haven’t read the information package already, please take the time to read it before Sunday and let us know if you have any questions. I’m looking forward to being with you all on my last Sunday.
