Calling all witches and wizards! Kick off your March Break at the library! Join us in the Community Hall for some exciting experiments and charming crafts. The cost is $2/child, and registration at the library is required. Open to kids ages 6 and up.

Experience the magic of Scott Dietrich; Wonder and Laughter Guaranteed. Scott's secret ingredient is the audience, who become active participants in the show. The highlight of the program comes when the audience helps magically produce Scott's bunny, Sir Walken. Kids will also enjoy a step-by-step magic tutorial. It's sure to be fun for all ages! Tickets are $2 each, available now at the library. The Magic Show will be held at the Theatre in the Civic Centre.

We are excited to partner once again with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Teams. Dogs make very supportive listeners! When a child reads with a certified therapy dog, they begin to relax and forget about feeling nervous about reading. Therapy dogs and their volunteers will listen to children who want to practice reading aloud. You may choose a book from the library, or bring a favourite from home! Space is limited; registration at the library is required. This program is open to kids of all ages who want to practice their reading.

We will have a special guest for this March Break Storytime: the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Team's Sophie and her best human, Steve. Join us in the Community Hall for a special Storytime, all about precious pups! This Storytime is best enjoyed by kids 0-6. Registration at the library is required.

Do you have questions about online security? Our tech helper is here to lend a hand! Join William for a group information session about online security for families. There will be a video about online security, and a thoughtful discussion about how to stay safe online. Topics include phishing, scams, and how to protect yourself. Register at the library to secure your spot! This program will be happening in the Saugeen Room.

Escape the winter blues! Join us in the newspaper area for a travelogue presentation featuring the hot deserts of Egypt. Ed Agnew is an avid traveler who will be sharing his trip to Egypt with us! His presentation will include images, a beautiful video and a discussion. This free program is open to all, but registration is suggested to secure your seat. We hope to see you there!

Did you know April is National Poetry Month? Let us help you discover the world of poetry! Local poet Dianne Joyce will be hosting a poetry writing workshop in the Saugeen Room. Writers of all levels are invited to join this supportive and engaging session. There is a cost of $10 for participation in the workshop. Space is limited, so you must register at the library.
All poets, whether participating in the workshop or not, are invited to participate in out Poetry Open Mic Night on April 26th to celebrate National Poetry Month. Save the date! Details about our April programs will be announced.
