Taproot just improved its productivity game for all kitchen users!
Board Chair and all around amazing guy Randall Waugh with the guidance of Dishwasher Dave were busy in the kitchen last week installing a new dishwasher. The dishwasher was paid for by a USDA Agricultural Marketing Services (AMS) grant, which was awarded to Taproot Kitchen late in 2021. This grant allows Taproot to invest in new tools and support local food business enterprises and those who are interested in producing value-added foods.
And this isn’t the only shiny new piece of equipment available for use at Taproot. We have an assortment of tools to help food producers here in San Juan County, including these new items:
- A piston filler machine to fill bottles and containers with spreads, sauces, jams and more.
- A label printer and two styles of professional label applicators for round as well as flat style containers.
- An automatic bottle capper to help tighten and safely close products (without massive wear and tear of human arms and wrists).
All funded by the same USDA AMS grant. Time to turn your dreams of selling grandma’s secret sauce into a reality!
