  • FAIR's Adam Seagrave will present "Ethnic Studies & E Pluribus Unum: An Inclusive Approach" at the California Council for the Social Studies in February in Santa Clara.

  • FAIR's Managing Director of Education, Stephanie Guerra, will present FAIR's resources for  "Exploring Freedom in Picture Books" at the National Council for History Education Conference in March in Utah.

  • In early December, FAIR members attended the California School Board Association Conference, where they promoted FAIR's forthcoming Ethnic Studies curriculum and other FAIR in Education initiatives.

  • In late November, FAIR members attended the Ohio School Board Association Conference to share an overview of FAIR in Education programs, including professional development offerings, school counseling, and civil discourse clubs.

FAIR hosts a full-time, stipend-supported summer internship program for highly motivated and open-minded undergraduate students.

The position is fully remote. Interns attend weekly virtual meetings, work on team projects, attend seminars with thought leaders who promote the FAIR mission, and are equipped to bring FAIR’s pro-human approach to their college.

Start the New Year off by joining FAIR's Book Club! We'll be reading Monica Harris' newest publication, The Illusion of Division, and hosting conversations from 7:00pm - 8:30pm ET on January 25th and February 22nd (details about our March session are forthcoming).

FAIR’s Book Club meets monthly with a goal to read books that challenge and deepen our understanding of humanity and fairness, while enriching our sense of what it means to be pro-human.

Please join us on Tuesday, February 7, and Tuesday, February 21 from 5-6 p.m. ET/2-3 p.m. PT, for a two-part FAIR Education Series.

We will discuss educational philosophy and how it drives disagreements over contentious issues such as culturally responsive teaching, social-emotional learning, standardized testing, and how to teach topics like race, sex, gender, and justice. We will explore how differing assumptions about the purpose of schooling lead to holding strong positions on such issues.

In session 1 we'll learn the four basic philosophical positions. In session 2 we'll explore how they inform the issues. The sessions will help participants better articulate their own educational priorities while engaging more sympathetically with those whose priorities differ.
