New delivery pricing on Exotics

We’re trialling a cheaper and hopefully fairer delivery option for our exotic plants. We tend to sell these in 9 cm pots allowing us to send up to 5 plants at a cost of just £6.00, This will also make it much cheaper for those of you in remote areas of the UK wishing to by just a few plants.

Orders of 6 or more exotics and mixed orders, i.e. those containing larger plants such as shrubs and perennials will still be sent via or APC next day service (currently £9.50 for most parcels).

Discount code

To soften the blow of replacing any of your tender plants here is a I0% off code,  this is valid for use up to 5 times through out the year:

tender23

Pre-ordering

When I’m confident that plants will be available (i.e. they're potted up and getting established)  I’ll make them visible on our website so you can pre-order them for delivery at a future date when they are ready to send. Alternatively, you can order plants which ARE available now and send me instructions to delay sending them until the weather in your area allows you to be able to take care of them.

Hardy Perennials Offer

Buy 3 or more potted and bare root and get 20% off, which means you can get a nice clump of this iris sibirica 'Silver Edge for just £2.80. With our cheaper delivery option for perennials (from £6 nationwide) this represents a considerable saving. Bare rooted plants will be available until the end of March, or until they're gone!

Kings Seeds

We still have some Kings Seeds with a sow by date of September 2023 at half price. Most will last way beyond that date if kept cool and dry. We will soon be into the main sowing season, so now is the time to grab a bargain. New stock includes colourful annuals to brighten up your exotic garden, plus a range of vegetable and herb seeds, including some nourishing and tasty salad leaves.

The Weather...

I'm avidly watching the weather forecasts as I suspect most of you are. Currently it appears we may get a cold spell, possibly followed by a warm dry spring. That could all change of course, but we need to be prepared for strange and rapidly changing weather, based on past year's experience. March and April can bring us very cold weather, so keep a close eye on the forecast and have plenty of fleece to hand to cover any tender plants. One  April day couple of years ago I was watering (not totally surprisingly) but the heavy snow showers swirling around me made it a slightly bizarre experience, so be prepared everyone!
Don't forget we're always on hand for any questions you may have. Just visit our website www.shrublands.co.uk email us info@shrublands.co.uk or ring us on 01473 657012 or 07890 527744 (the best number)

Happy Gardening!
