What The Puck?
The other week I tagged along with our fabulous reviewer Lottie to Wolfgang Puck’s Park Lane restaurant The Cut. It was very un-cost-of-living-y (except for being free) and we met Mr Puck himself. He commented on my tummy so he’s off the Christmas card list, but he did partially redeem himself by revealing he’s a regular reader.
I realise that you’ve got literally no idea who he is, but he’s like the Gordon Ramsay of America. To be fair, Gordon Ramsay is also the Gordon Ramsay of America, but you get my point.
Which is… we have a famous reader. Um that’s it. He’ll probably unsubscribe now. Which is fine because we have tens of thousands of you wonderful readers cheering us on, which is way better. Thank you all!
Well that was all gibberish, but what isn't is Lottie’s review in this week’s issue. Along with new UK hotels, some fabulous coffee, lobster news (they're still orange) and where to eat haggis.

This is meant to be a showcase of sleek and sexy items we love. There are perhaps no two word combinations that less sum up that aspiration than ‘Vegan cheese’. Maybe 'yeast infection'? But we’re completely sold on Julienne Bruno vegan cheese.
Firstly it nearly tastes like actual, real, squeezed udder, proper edible cheese. And second it’s a lifeline for anyone flagging at this point of Veganuary (here are some restaurants to help with that, by the way).
Emma and Xander in The Sauce office are complete converts, raving that ‘the texture of the burrata was spot on’ and ‘as vegan cheeses go you’d be hard pressed to find better’ So, does it taste like proper cheese? ‘Almost’. Praise indeed!
