Christmas Hampers 2022

What a success!

We supplied 100 hampers to folks in need of a bit of help. We fed 196 adults & 97 children. None of it would have been possible without this caring, sharing community.

Here are a couple of the notes we received:

Merry Christmas! I really need to express my thankfulness to you and your crew. Today was amazing to me. The service that you provide to the community blows me away.

Thank you for saving our Christmas. I am more grateful than you will ever know. And a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.

The Oilfields Food Bank Annual General Meeting will be held on March 21, 2023 starting at 3:30 pm at our offices 125 Royal Ave, Diamond Valley (lower level of the United Church in the Valley).

We look forward to seeing you there. Everyone is welcome.

2023 Memberships Are Due

If you’re a member you have a vote & can help determine our goals & directions for 2023. Membership is $5 for the year.

You may purchase in advance on our website or bring $5 cash on Tuesdays anytime from 10-3pm.

Volunteers Unite!

If you’re already volunteering we know you’re committed, caring & concerned about what happens. We strongly encourage all volunteers to be members. The cost is only $5. You may pay online or bring cash when you’re onsite.

Our Most Needed Items

1 L juice boxes
pancake mix & syrup
baking supplies of all kinds
school lunch items/snacks

Donations may be dropped off at the Food Bank on Tuesdays from 11-12. There are donation boxes at AG Foods & the Sheep River Library. Thank you.

Oilfields Food Bank - No End In Sight

Food, rent, gas & other essentials are at a 30-year high. Healthy, nutritious food choices are falling further out of reach for a lot of folks. Like other food banks we are struggling to balance rising costs & a continually increasing demand. And now they are talking RECESSION. We expect to see even more folks needing help with food in 2023.
