Our Vision Statement

Our Lady of the Southern Cross Parish is a safe community of love that believes in the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives and form disciples who bring people to Jesus.

As a disciple, I commit to grow by
worshipping, connecting, learning, serving, giving and making disciples.

Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

“He called them, and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed Him.”Matthew 4:22

Just as Jesus called the first apostles, He calls each of us to follow Him, too. Not everyone is called to leave their business or family behind, but we are expected to put God first in everything. In gratitude to God, we should give our first and best of everything to Him: our time in daily prayer, our talent in participating in one of our parish ministries and our treasure to support the financial needs of our parish mission.

2023 Spiritual Goals

Still discerning your spiritual goals for 2023? Are you unsure of your next step? Vanessa will help you with ideas on how to grow deeper in your faith and connect with community. Please follow this link and we will be in contact to help you take your 2023 Spiritual step.
Do you want to reconnect with God and discover the Holy Spirit in a real and personal way? Do you have a friend you’d like to introduce to Jesus? Alpha is a great experience to explore life and faith in a loving, open, and fun environment. We kick off our first session on Sunday the 29th at 10:30am in the Hub building next to the church. Please follow this link to learn more about Alpha and to register.
All tiny tots and primary-aged children are invited to return to Southern Cross Kids children’s liturgy starting Sunday the 29th of January. Children will begin in 9am Mass, receive a blessing from Fr Baiyi and then go to their lesson where they will have fun learning about Jesus in a way that is meaningful and age appropriate.

A VOCATION VIEW:

Jesus said: "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." Today he could say: "I will make you mechanics of souls; doctors of wounded hearts, counsellors of broken families; clowns in a joyless society." But regardless, Come.
