Hey <<First Name>> ,

I am so happy I get to write you and update you on the past month. When I arrived in Egypt, I didn't really know what to expect... but God has really shown me that wherever he has placed you, being a consistent disciple in your community is one of the best ways to reach people. Every day we have scheduled/planned ministry to different areas in the community. The time of day when we don't have planned ministry, I am doing what I did at home: meeting people, and sharing the most important thing about my life with them, Jesus. 

So far, 3 people made a good decision after we had conversations with them about Jesus!

Thank you so much for partnering with me and making all of this possible. Your generosity towards me as a person and the great commission causes me to worship God all the time. I am grateful.
Hannah Visits!
My sister Hannah is touring around the world visiting all of the teams on outreach and she stopped in Egypt for a week and got to be apart of our team fun day! It really is a dream come true to spend time in other nations with my family members and God-willing, there will be much more time together working on the great commission all around the world.
Neighborhood Work
  • We met a group of teenagers in our neighborhood and have gotten to build relationships with them. They showed us around and now consider us as family and call us their older brothers. I'm grateful for the influence God has given us in their lives and I'm praying for the Holy Spirit to MOVE in power!
  • We have had an open door in a local underserved school. Because of the who the school is led by, we have to be creative when sharing about the story of Jesus. We have done skits that present God's true nature. The students here grow up with a view of God according to the Quran and if we teach them about God's true character according to the Bible, when they pray and cry out to the God we've shared about, Jesus will be the one answer their prayers!
Worship and Intercession
Every morning we start our day with worship and intercession to pray for specific work we're doing. I have the privilege of leading the worship!
Sudanese Refugees
Because of the war in Sudan, many people have fled to Egypt for safety. We have gone multiple times house to house visiting Sudanese refugees to bring things they needed and to pray for them and encourage them. This is has been one my favorite things we've been able to do.
Lillian Trasher Orphanage
We spent 10 days through Christmas and New years at LTO. This is a Christian Orphanage surrounded by 5 mosques! It is a light in a dark place. Every morning we served in the bakery to prepare bread for the day and we were able to come alongside the kids and teens there and just pour everything we have into them.
Local Churches
  • We have been able to consistently visit the same churches and it has been an honor to worship with the believers here. Only about 10% of Egypt has 'Christian' marked on their birth certificate so it is special when we meet other believers!
  • During one of the church services a lady asked us to pray for her right eye because she was blind in it. After we prayed, Jesus healed her! Our translator was shocked and we did multiple tests to be sure this was a miracle!
  • I've also been given a couple of opportunities to preach at church. Learning to preach in different cultural contexts has been awesome!
Prayer Requests
- God is solidifying a lot of things in my character while I'm on outreach. Please pray for me to be more conformed into the image of Jesus. Pray that I would be rooted and grounded in the love of Christ.

- Pray for all of the ministry we are doing and more people to know Jesus.

- Pray for my team!
