The mini split campaign is almost over!
After consulting with our anonymous donor, the mini-split campaign has been extended through February 17th so that we can maximize the match! To date, we have received gifts totaling $5,500 toward the match. In addition, we have applied for a $5,000 grant through the Kelly Foundation and Umpqua Bank is considering sponsoring a mini-split for a classroom. Permits have been submitted and we should receive approval by the end of the month!
Travis Baumann, 2nd grade parent, and his dad have kindly volunteered to install the units at no cost to the school.
Thank you all donors, and the Baumann family! The school will soon be prepared for inclement weather and air quality challenges moving forward.
We're nearly there...

SPEAKER SERIES
Thank you to Rev Bowen and to everyone who came out to hear "Waldorf 101" last week! We will share a link to the video as soon as possible.
Our Speaker Series continues on March 2 with our "Live Oak Alumni Panel," featuring the Live Oak Class of 2019 and their graduating teacher, Lynne Poirier. This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from former students about their experience in high school and their plans for the future.
This talk is open to Live Oak families, including students in Grades 6-8, as well as families interested in learning more about our school. Visit our About Waldorf Education page for more information and to RSVP.

Hello! I'd like to share an interesting volunteerism fact from our 2021-22 school year: 55 families logged 1842.33 hours! Imagine if the remaining enrolled families that volunteered (because we know you did!) actually LOGGED THEIR HOURS!?
Documentation of volunteer hours is vital information for the school to track for grant, loan and accreditation. Please do your part by going to this link and entering the volunteer hours you have gifted to your campus, your classroom, your teacher, your school since July 1, 2022 to the present.
We are not fact checking entries, if you know you have spent 10 hours in the ECV yard over the past couple months, just input those hours in the system on one date. If you do school governance, maybe input your hours monthly - dates aren't as important as the number of hours and the description of volunteerism.
Thank you so much for all you have given to our school and for showing up to make a difference.
Heartfelt gratitude,
Danielle Barclay
