CACTUS STORE ECHO PARK : 2014-2023
Dear friends
If you haven't already heard, we have some news about our little store on Echo Park Avenue...

|
After 8 wonderful years we’ve decided it is time to close our store in Echo Park. The initial idea for the store was not to simply make a place where folks could go for plants, but to make a place where you could hear their stories, and learn about what made them special, not just as decorative items, but as beings to coexist with.
This idea of brokering relationships between humans and plants was the acorn from which we’ve grown our project into something wonderful and strange, which continues today and is now our Studio and Greenhouse. To be clear, we’re not going away! Far from it. But before we get to that, we want to take a quick trip down memory lane from our little corner at Echo Park & Scott...

WHAT'S NEXT?
A lot! Cactus Store Studio continues on as before, with our incredible team busy designing gardens, creating strange and wonderful clothing, making books, pots, lectures, etc etc. But we also have something very exciting to share with you soon, a project that we feel more exemplifies the relationship and radical coexistence of human and nonhuman lifeforms at a time when our natural world is under enormous pressure.
We are so deeply grateful for all our friends and supporters in LA and around the world, and most importantly, to the plants who breathed oxygen into our little store over the years. It’s because of you that we’re still alive.

Scott's Valley Tree Circus T-Shirt
