Weekly (Zoom) Bible Study on the Appointed Gospels

To those of you have have yet to join us, the Gospel Bible Study Zoom will welcome anyone for our Monday night sessions.  Join us when you can, and don't worry about when you can't!

Our Study is guided by the Rev. Elaine Prince revprince1986@gmail.com on Mondays from 7-8:30 PM.  Our next meeting will be on Monday, January 30th and will be studying the Gospel for the 5th Sunday after Epiphany, The Beatitudes, using the text of Matthew 5: 13-20.  Anyone wishing to study the Gospel reading for the following Sunday may gather on Zoom, hosted by Lynn Gebrowsky LGNMA@comcast.net.

We will briefly reflect on the previous Sunday’s sermon before we look at the upcoming Gospel.

Our next DIAPER DRIVE to support Centro Hispano will be occurring Thursday, February 2 between 12- 1p.m. If the drop off time doesn’t work for you, indicate that when you sign up and we can work out another arrangement.  Thank you to those who have already signed up to donate!

Centro Hispano offers English Language Classes to adults. They are in need of additional teachers and helpers. You don’t need a teaching degree and a curriculum has been prepared. You could volunteer once a week or every other week. Classes are held 3 nights a week at Centro Hispano’s office on West Patrick Street; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and last for about 1 ½ hours. https://www.centrohispanodefrederick.org/english-instruction

Centro Hispano is also looking for volunteers who could drive local seniors to their Anos Dorados (Golden Years) program. The activities are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The Rev. Amy Richter, PhD will be hosting "Big Stories of the Bible", on Thursdays from 2-3PM, in Junior/Senior High Classroom on the first floor.  All are welcome.

African American Theology and Ethics Class
 

The Rev. Joseph Pagano, PhD, will offer a short version of his university course on African American Theology and Ethics.

Children's and Youth Christian Formation Coordinator
All Saints’ Episcopal Church is seeks an energetic and thoughtful leader to coordinate, facilitate, and help us develop our programs of Christian formation for children and youth. This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours of work per week (usually of 12-16 hours on weekdays plus 3-4 hours dedicated on Sundays and/or for special events).

According to our Parish Bylaws, "Any group of five or more Voting Members may nominate candidates for the Office of Vestry Member by submitting such nominations, over their signatures to the Registrar at least two weeks prior to the Annual Meeting"  The deadline is Sunday, January 29th.

ASEC Bylaws Review Forum this Sunday, January 29 9 AM in Parish Hall. In preparation for the Annual Meeting, Mark Gibson, former senior warden and member of the Bylaws Revision Committee will be leading a presentation of the proposed bylaw changes that will be voted upon at All Saints' Annual Meeting (Feb 12). Please come and learn about the proposed changes.

Mark your calendars now, for a VESTRY CANDIDATE FORUM Sunday, Feb. 5th and our annual meeting Sunday, Feb. 12th - both at 11:15!
