I am particularly jazzed to be able to offer this final parcel of 2019 Fattoria de Pupille releases. We have gone long because all indicators from the barrel samples last year indicated just how smashingly impressive they were going to be when finally in our warehouse, safe and sound. Its also a useful hedge against the price increases of the 2020`s which are expected to be at around 15% higher.

Aside from their value relative to future shipments out of Europe, Elisabetta Geppetti has achieved fame and fortune from her lovingly created interpretations of Sangiovese and friends. The cooler climate fans will note that the F de P vineyards are at 1650 meters above sea level in this region of Scansano in Tuscany.

The Wines:
Fattoria Le Pupille Poggio Valente IGT Toscana 2019 (WA 95)

"James Suckling: 95 Points
"This is very dense and structured with stone and blackberry character. Full-bodied and intense with chewy tannins that frame the wine. Flavorful finish. Smoky and lightly bitter, in a good way. Pure sangiovese."
