We will open the Zoom room at 9:15 a.m. for people to join early to have a coffee and some informal conversation.
At the beginning of this year, in the circle of annual meetings, among colleagues, and with the desire for wellness in our being, we gather to wonder and explore.
What hope is embedded in the signs of this time? How we see affects what we see. Might you practice courage in opportunities for struggle? It is not easy.
It’s a good thing the desert teachers remind us, “We are always beginning again.” So there is spiritual practice for beginning again in our tradition.
What if we are standing right where we belong? All we need is here. Might you dare to accept the risk? You might be surprised who is supporting you.
With input from Janice MacLean of the Prayer Bench, who really believes this is the time for ordinary mystics to stand firm in liminal space, and through wisdom conversations in small groups, and with intentional spiritual practice, what might you receive in this time to help order your days?
A guide with resources is available and will accompany the workshop for those who register.
Janice MacLean is host of the Prayer Bench, an online ministry offering ordinary mystics resources to deepen spirituality. She actually has a wooden prayer bench she took home in a backpack after working with the Iona Community in Scotland. Over a life-time, Janice is grateful for the many vocational experiences she now carries in her heart. Each one worked to broaden and deepen her spirituality. Janice recently retired from part-time pastoral ministry and moved to Cape Breton with her partner. Her passion in ministry is rooted in sharing the contemplative wisdom tradition.
