Dear Friends...

    Have you ever wondered, "Who am I?"  What am I?  Where am I from?" "What is God?"
     Ernest Holmes said we are a teaching organization, not a preaching organization, so the basics of the Science of Mind, are traditionally taught once a year in January to help us answer our questions about life.    Our journey is to empower ourselves on this earth to walk a path of realization toward full expression of the God-being that we have always been.  Welcome to a month of back to basics.  
     This Sunday I will review, "The Thing Itself" and introduce the second chapter titled, "The Way It Works".  The following Sundays in January we will discuss "What it Does", and "How to Use It". Feel free to read the four pages on, "The Way it Works" pages 35-39 of the Science of Mind textbook for Sunday.  Ernest Holmes said, "There is a Power for good in the Universe, greater than you are, and you can use it."  Join us for a lesson on how to use that Power.

Endless Opportunities:

As we begin this new year we are presented with endless opportunities to connect with the divine within ourselves and each other.  There are endless opportunities all around us - as there are miracles hidden in each day.  The joy lies with uncovering these opportunities and miracles that bring us to a greater experience in life.  Feel Its presence and let God take you to your highest and best life.

Divine Unity

Sikh scripture teaches, "The One God is pervading and permeating each and every heart..."
     The Mundaka Upanishad reveals, "…This universe springs from the deathless Self, the source of life."
   Sufi poet and philosopher Rumi said, "You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the entire ocean in a drop."
    
 
The Apostle Paul quoted a Greek poet, saying, "It is in God that we live and move and have our being." A Jewish psalmist affirmed the omnipresence of divine Love when he or she wrote, "I can never escape from your Spirit; I can never get away from your presence!” (NLT). 
     

We cannot be separated from our Source. Divine Life is the Substance of our individual lives. As God is the Life expressing in, through, and as our lives, we are always capable of improvement. We always have access to peace, to joy, to wisdom, to seeing past a challenge or difficulty to a field of unlimited possibilities. We always can be assured that come what may, we are forever part of a perfect Life that has no end. 


Remembering our oneness with God, I affirm that today is a day of blessings, and so it is that I am thankful!
